New Norfolk Community Art Initiative

Better Together Norfolk, in collaboration with Harleston Information Plus, are piloting a new Norfolk community art initiative in Brockdish in the south of the county.

We are inviting local residents to join us for an outdoor nature based creative and mindful experience on 30th August. Called “Sketch and Reflect”, it is aimed at people of all abilities who wish to explore the benefits of nature and quiet reflection in beautiful surroundings.

Local artist Julie Filmer will be available for guidance and free tea, coffee and homemade cake will be served.

It has already proved extremely popular with (as of 30th June 2022) only five spaces remaining. If you’d like to sign up, please contact Pam Spicer: pam.spicer@bettertogethernorfolk.org.uk . Booking is essential as there are only 20 places available.

Pam Spicer who organised the event, said:

“Norfolk community art and creative endeavours like this are great ways to bring people together and for them to learn new skills and interact. We know that across society generally, too many people are suffering from loneliness and social isolation. It is wonderful that these activities are proving popular because I truly believe they are so good for people’s wellbeing. If everything goes well, I will look at arranging other similar events, although being an outdoor event, we will be a bit restricted during the winter months.”
