Many people are struggling to make ends meet especially during the winter months when fuel bills are an additional cost. That’s why we’re raising money to ensure that some of the most in need in Norfolk get to have healthy, nutritious and warm meals this winter by distributing slow cookers to them for free. But we need your help to buy them and every penny counts.

This is part of a wider campaign called ‘Better Cooking Together’ we’ve been running for the last couple of years.
Why slow cookers?
Slow cookers are an incredibly versatile and cost-effective way to cook meals, especially for those who may not have access to a full kitchen or are on a tight budget. With a slow cooker, families can prepare nutritious and delicious meals that can last for several days. Cooking with vegetables and inexpensive cuts of meat can also reduce the need to purchase expensive and unhealthy fast foods.
Who can benefit from the Slow Cooker Appeal?
Many of the individuals and families we support through our own services at Voluntary Norfolk, such as Carers Matter and Better Together Norfolk have benefited from the Slow Cooker Appeal. We’ll also accept requests from referring agencies in Norfolk.
