‘Put a Sock In It’ Appeal Launched

Leading up to Christmas and continuing into the New Year we are collecting warm socks for adults and children. This is part of our ‘Put A Sock In It’ Appeal. Times are difficult for people during the winter months and we thought it would be an affordable way for people to donate items that will make a difference to others.

If you would like to donate socks to our appeal please pop into Harleston Information Plus Centre where our collection box is located. You can also post them to Better Together Norfolk, C/O HIP, 8 Exchange Street, Harleston IP20 9AB.

We would welcome your gift of new socks for our ‘Put A Sock In It’ appeal!

This appeal follows Better Together’s successful fundraising appeal for slow cookers, which raised £1,000s last year. After raising £6230 we started delivering slow cookers to community groups around Norfolk. We also gave them out to clients of Better Together Norfolk and Carers Matters. We hope that they are starting to see some savings on their food and energy bills.

Across Norfolk, there are several initiatives underway to help residents struggling with the rising bills and the wider cost-of-living crisis. Better Together Norfolk’s Life Connectors can also help those we support reduce their energy bills, by giving guidance, top tips and signposting to specialist support and grants. Find out how we can help with your bills.
